Keep your API key on your backend. Use council and reference for reconciliation, paginate results and handle unavailable sources rather than treating a missing result as proof that an application does not exist.
Keep your cache current

What your integration receives
Application reference, council, address, proposal, status and available decision fields, with the source URL and freshness metadata. Field availability varies by council; inspect the field reference and council coverage for your scope.

Where this is not the right fit
Coverage, historical depth and field completeness vary by council. UPRNs, coordinates, documents and decision dates are not populated on every record. Source outages can delay new data; an API response is not a fresh council-page check.

Is every council guaranteed complete?
No. Check current council-level coverage, freshness and any missing fields for your required territory. A monitored source count is not a completeness guarantee.
Is current data included in the free plan?
No. The free plan is for historical/sample data. Current data and ongoing monitoring require a paid plan.
